Last night, Ron and I finally got the new, better sidebar editor working on a couple themes. I’ll be working furiously over the next few days testing it on every theme and updating each one. Also, we’re going to be depreciating the Sidebar Editor plugin to use Widgets instead. (This is also the direction the develpment of WordPress is headed.)
For users who have added custom content to their sidebars, I’ll work on your sites one at a time and make the changeover, notifying you both before and after I do it. This will hopefully be done as smoothy as possible. The new version will also be much easier to use and you won’t have to activate it – it’ll be integrated, and you’ll see the Sidebar Widgets tab when you pick a theme that is “widgetized”.
As always, we appreciate your support and understanding and we thank you for joining us here. We recently topped FIFTY blogs! The biggest sign up day was last Thursday, with SIXTEEEN people creating blogs.
Wow.
If you want to read all the blogs in the system, the master site feed is located here.

Hi,
I moved the widgets I wanted my sidebar but when I view my site the old sidebar is still there….
OK, I’m lost. I just tried to make a simple edit…adding a statcounter. And now my sidebar has disappeared. Did I do that? I don’t know what I’m doing…How do I get it back?
I don’t care for the Widgets… I have another blog on WordPress… you just can’t customize it like you can with the Sidebar Editor plugin. If the Widgets worked as well as the Editor then that would be great but so far they don’t.
