New Features on HSJ

I’ve added a sidebar widget which adds a login block to your sidebar. Your users/readers (or other hsj users) can enter their username and password, click ‘Login’, and they will be returned to your blog rather than presented with the WordPress backend. Once logged in, the widget shows a button to allow the user/reader to logout. The logout button also returns the user to your blog rather than the WordPress backend.

The widget is available under Presentation -> Sidebar widgets in the admin panel.

We’ve added the Sticky Note theme which we originally created for Atypical Homeschool. Here is a screenshot:

Abandoned Blogs

There are a number of ‘test drive’ blogs that have been created on the site. Many of those have never been updated or changed from the default theme. Sometime in the next 48 hours, blogs that were created more than 30 days ago and never updated will be removed from the site. Periodically from this point forward we will remove blogs that meet that criteria without further notice.

Edited to clarify: We’re not going to delete people who have actually posted at some point.
