Icon contest
I don’t know how many of you have noticed, but up in the adress bar is a little graphic that shows up whenever you are on homeschooljournal. It looks like this: This is technically known as a favicon - the image itself, not the Greek letter.
The one we have right now is the default one that comes with WordpressMultiUser.
It’s kinda nice, but wouldn’t it be great if we had one of our very own? That’s where you come in. We decided to hold a contest for our members and their families. (and it’s educational!) The contest is to creat a new graphic icon for us. You can send it in any digital graphic format (png, jpg, bmp, gif), because we can convert it, but it must be 16 by 16 pixels. That’s tiny. The only other requirement is that it be family-friendly.
So you and the kids get your heads together and come up with something. Send them to support@homeschooljournal.net by June 30th and Ron and I will pick the winners. So far, the only prize is bragging rights, endless credit and the knowledge of a job well done. Feel free to donate a prize if you’ve got one.

Andrea, I’ll recuse myself from the contest and offer up a prize instead. How about a copy of “Tools of the Ancient Greeks: A Kid’s Guide to the History & Science of Life in Ancient Greece”?
[…] Just a couple of reminders - the icon contest wraps up on June 30th. That’s the end of the week. We have some great submissions AND a prize! It’s a copy of “Tools of the Ancient Greeks: A Kid’s Guide to the History & Science of Life in Ancient Greece” from user paradisefound, who also wrote it you know. […]
