Well, we’ve known for a bit that we’d have to move HSJ to another server and it looks like that will finally happen within the next two months. Signups will be closed until then, but after that expect a whole bunch of fixes, frills and all-around goodness.
I already have a loose plan in place for the big move, and when we have a firm date, you guys will be the first to know.

You may notice when you first login to your backend today that it may take an extra second or so to load, especially if you’re popular. 
We noticed that our spam management plugin didn’t automatically purge the database unless someone actually visited the menu pages for it. Since here on our system, we’ve made it visible to just the site admins, that’s not very practical. So Ron whipped up a quick automatic purge to happen when you visit your backend.
Just to give you an idea, before Christmas he had cleaned up a lot of spam kicking around in the database, and yesterday it was back up to over 40,000 spam comments system-wide. This extra plugin he wrote, which automatically runs and you don’t have to do a thing, should take care of stuff piling up behind the scenes.
