Signups and new blogs are good to go again

With a lot of Ron’s help - okay, he did it. He fixed the new blog creation, right in the code. Give him a hand.

I re-created all the blogs that were sitting there half-done or waiting for activation and emailed everyone. If anyone has any issues, or didn’t get any emails with passwords, PLEASE email me and let me know.

I am going to cross my fingers and hope nothing breaks from now until at least January. Or, whenever I go back to tinkering and adding in some cool new features (finally) it won’t upset the applecart.

In other good news, we upgraded the RAM on the server, so thsoe downtime blips shoudl pretty much be elminated. The last big change we made -moving to multiple databases - helped eliminate a lot, and the fact that SpamKarma stopped working might have had something to do with that, as it was pretty resource-intensive.

So blog away happily, you chatty bunch, and enjoy the holidays.

New blogs not being created properly

I’ve just discovered this morning that new blogs are not being set up properly. Sorry about that! I had no idea until now. This will be my to-do list for the day.
